Prva \u017eelezni\u010dka kompozicija krenula je 2. jula 1899. godine. Time po\u010dinje industrijski razvoj Temerina i okolnih mesta. Mnogi se se\u0107aju \u010duvenog radni\u010dkog voza koji se posle 16 \u010dasova vra\u0107ao iz Novog Sada. Radnici, u\u010denici, studenti, doma\u0107ice &#8211; bukvalno su okupirale nepreglednu kompoziciju. U letnjim danima mladi su u\u017eivali sede\u0107i na krovovima vagona. Pisak \u201eparnja\u010de\u201c i pesma putnika koji su se vra\u0107ali sa posla &#8211; prolamali su vrelu i suncem obasjanu ba\u010dku ravnicu. Godi\u0161nje se \u017eeleznicom prevozilo vi\u0161e od 100 hiljada tona robe i 60.000 putnika. Ve\u0107 1978. godine broj putnika se smanjio na 15.117, a prispele i otpremljene robe na stanici u Temerinu na 46. hiljada tona.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Putnici su okrenuli le\u0111a \u017eeleznici zbog malog broja polazaka.
